Carter's Art

Carter's teacher wanted the kids to come up with Indian names for themselves and then they painted a picture at school of their name.

I thought Carter's name and description was SOOOO fitting!

Doesn't surprise me he picked an osprey. There is a nest right where his football team practices and this summer I got on Carter for not paying attention to his coaches. The next day, he said he did better because the osprey had inspired him. Maybe he has some Indian blood in him.

Of course. Do you remember Carter's dad being named "Climbing Fox" because of his tendency to climb as a toddler very high for the cookie jar? Yes, there really is Indian blood in our family going back about five generations. It was a tribe located in New York. The white father married an Indian mother.
