Glen did a awesome job of finding our rental. It came pretty much as a total surprise to the kids and I as we had never officially seen it before moving in.
Our neighborhood is called Countryside and the lot we are building on borders this great neighborhood. So we can walk to our lot in about 10 mins or less and we get to stay in our ward. It is perfect!
Before moving I decided I needed to have plenty of activities for the kids to do during the summer because I was SURE that we wouldn't have friends and no idea of what to do. I filled a box up pretty high with crafts.
Well...we only ended up using that box once the whole summer. This happened to be the day, it was rainy and it was a perfect indoor activity.
Facetime happens to be a favorite of ours, not so much to miss when you can just see those little faces!
It took Bess exactly 2 days to have a new little friend. Ady lives almost directly across the street from us and was heaven sent for Bess. (Ady is almost a whole year older then Bess, little thing).
We quickly gained some new pets. Swallow birds love to build their nests in our eves of our entry. When we first moved in we realized it was just a mama and daddy bird that were waiting for their eggs to hatch.
And they did hatch and thus ensued the drama in our home!
Carter made it a priority to check the nest several times a day to make sure the babies were all in and doing ok. This little guy happened to fall out on more then one occasion which sent Carter in all sorts of panic.
Glen being the good dad he is helped the bird back in it's nest but eventually it just wasn't going to make it and we were able to bury the little guy.

It was a really good Summer. So happy that the kids were able to find some good friends. I'll remember it not just for the move but for Carter's Animal Rescue and all the birds and other animals he tried to save.
Glad we were able to visit you during the summer. The house was perfect for your needs. Ady was very sweet and I think she was very happy Bess moved in. We loved your bike trails, beautiful homes and community resources. We're excited to see your new house when it's finished. Great pictures!
Love,
Dad
