Waking up to room decorations and birthday donuts.
Since we were planning for her party at a later date I asked her what she wanted to do that day. She told me she just wanted to do something with her friend Mary. It worked out quite conveniently that a group of us moms headed to a splash park and Mary was going to be there. It's always a extra plus when Emily is along.
Bess is really so lucky to have such a great group of girlfriends. They are all so cute and have so much fun together.
Bess has been talking about her party since she turned 6. She just knew this was the year she had to have a friend party. So all the ideas have been flowing for a year as to what she wanted and expected out of her 7 year old birthday party.
She decided on a breakfast theme since she loves that meal the very best.
We handed out her birthday invitations with a mini size cereal for each girl. We asked that the girls come in their PJ's and bring their swimsuits.
We had breakfast, got pampered, and swam.
The biggest reason we planned for her party a couple weeks later is because all my "help" was out of town. My mom and sister Megan were so great to help me out.
Homemade chocolate face mask was fun, MESSY but fun.

I think a fun time was had by all and the birthday girl was happy.

Happy Birthday Bess! There is nothing cutier than a group of precious little girls in their pretty clothes at a birthday party. I got a kick out of the chocolate on faces. Lots of fun!
Love,
Dad
That looks like a great party!!
I want a chocolate face mask!!!!
What an awesome party! Good ideas for lots of fun! I hadn't heard of "chocolate masks" before. I'm sure it was all licked off before swimming started. Happy birthday again, Bess!
Love you all.
