Holiday Happenings

I have to admit. I am not a huge fan of Christmas. There are reasons and maybe one day I'll explain them however, for now that's not what this post is about. Even though I am not a fan I do love some of the traditions and happenings that go along with Christmas.

One of them is family time. Uncle Ryan came to visit about 2 weeks before Christmas. We all had fun being together. I didn't get many, actually any, pictures. But I did find these gems taken by Bess and some left on our photo booth.

While Ryan was visiting we were able to watch one of Carter's first Junior Jazz games. It's hard to believe that this is his 3rd year playing. His team is getting good. Most of them have all been together for the three years and they are starting to work together. It's fun to watch.

Santa visits are ALWAYS a must! Especially for a first timer!

We spent an evening on the ice. Well Carter, Daddy, and Bess did. Maggie and I sat on the sidelines and cheered them on. Carter was doing great by the end of the night. We all had a blast.

Bess did a little dance performance one evening. She did great and had a blast doing it. This girl loves dancing and is often found making up her own dances. She enjoys entertaining us with each show.

And this, well........just because!

What's better then a fresh clean baby out of the tub? Love her!

I just love your family! Your kids, I want to eat up! The only thing better than a baby fresh out of the tub, is one rubbed down with baby lotion! MMMM....One of my favorite smells!

I'll add to Susan's comment. The funny picture of Bess with Ryan is great. He looks like the bad guy actor in "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves." The pictu4res of the children and baby warm the heart. I think the things about Christmas that I like best are the traditions. If we can find a way to give of ourselves to others it really helps. Our favorites are family and friends singing Christmas carols in a nursing home and to friends in the neighborhood. Our ward did a "Secret Santa" this year, and it was a joy to be of assistance to people with special needs. When there is a true feeling of love at Christmastime it is great.

Thanks for posting.
