my baby daddy

.
Originally I thought I only married Glen for his good looks and charms but have since figured out there comes much much more with the package!
Glen is a very hard worker and very motivated to try something new, especially around the house. He's learned many things since we've become home owners. His latest skill is knocking a hole in a wall to build a big walk in shower plus tiling the whole thing. We've all taken full advantage of the extra shower and have to say it's quite luxurious. It's complete with two shower heads so the kids don't argue and there's room enough for a party in there.
He enjoys taking on the challenge..............even if he tells you other wise!

Thats pretty impressive, seriously. Nice job. I was proud of myself for sanding and refinishing some tables and a rocking horse, but I've got nothing on Gloin.

What happened to the old shower? Is it a closet now?

Oh that old shower is still there. I haven't done a thing on it since I cut my arm trying to take out the old tile but sooner or later I'll have to do it. Yikes! It will be a closet when it's all said and done.

Add that to my list of things that I don't think I'll ever do again - the shower project took 5x more time than I thought it would. I had help all the way through and respect the pros.

Glen should hire out his services. As if he didn't have any more projects at home, right?!

Things have been the same way around here, but most of it has been in the garage. Turning nothing into a man's garage. I'm just waiting for the lady posters to get put up! :) But now I've got a fridge/freezer out there, shelves for storage, all of brian's tools are stored nicely on the wall, a work bench was built and a huge shelf for all our camping gear. Just don't know when I'll get my bathroom re-done.

I'm very, very impressed with the shower, and proud of you, Glen - - First, for having the courage to start such a monstrous project; second, for carrying it through to completion, and third, or a beautiful job. It's marvelous!
As you well know, one of the "joys" of lovely older homes is that there is always the "next" project. You've done great things with your home.

Have a good and restful weekend.

Always,

Mom/Gram

Where did you get all those skills, Glen? Does Ron next door consult with you? I'm amazed! Nice job! My big around the house chore is mowing lawns and keeping the birds fed. Yes, Kendi, he has a lot to offer..lucky gal.

Love you,

Dad

Good job Glen!!

I like your attitude - how you just tried it, worked hard, believed you could do it, and consulted the pros!

As I told you kendi. You got a keeper there. Not many husbands could do what glen did, or atleast have the mental energy to take on a task like that. He did a good job, i tested it out when I was there. Just lovely work glen. Could you come to my place and put one in? I will pay for a plane ticket. Peace out!

Where was Glen when we redid our bathroom? We were to chicken to do the tile work ourselves and hired most of the bathroom out. All I did was paint and tear out the old. That was scary enough for me. Yours looks better than the pros. How fun to have a new shower!!! Nice job Glen!!!
