Dancer's High

Bess is the one right in the front middle, hard to tell!!
We attended Bess's dance recital last night. It was such a blast to watch her up there on stage. The girl has no insecurities of big groups or preforming on stage; however one on one she's shy! Crazy thing!!
She was quite the star of the show, well in our eyes at least!
We were kind of sad about he costumes because all the other girls had beautiful tutus but once on stage and all together they looked darling. They were rain dancers with their hats and rain coats.
It was fun for me to sit and listen to Glen and Carter's reaction as they watched her on stage. Daddy sure does love his little girl and her girly ways!!!!

Dad, Carter, Aunt Megan and soon-to-be-Uncle Kurtis, all came to watch. Grandma was able to get a sneak peek the day before at her rehearsal as she knew she couldn't make the recital.
Bess had to be ready and at her performance and hour early, which made for alot of sitting around time for mommy, waiting. I kept watching all the families coming in with flowers for their dancers and started to worry that Bess might get her feelings hurt that I hadn't planned ahead, so I called Megan for back up.....thanks Megs!
When I went to get Bess after her dance she wondered why she didn't have a flower. She was very happy, but shy, when she saw Kurtis holding a rose for her! Thanks guys!

We ended the night with Pazookies and Bess on a complete high!

Here's a video from the rehearsal. It's not the whole dance and I am sure most of you can't even figure out who she is but you get the point. However she is the third one in from the left, in the front.

Carter and Bess really won our hearts over with their dancing and fun play. I got a real kick out of Glen's laughter and delight with his little girl. Carter also is quite a showman. Thanks for shariang these pictures. The girls are all adorable.

Very, very adorable! If you enlarge the pictures, you can see Bess's face really well, and she's all smiles! Love the costumes, too - - and the fact that the whole thing seemed low-key and FUN rather than pressure. Good job, Bess! You're a cutie!

Love you,

Gram/Mom

Great job Bess! I was so surprised at how well you did. I knew you were a good little dancer, but you weren't shy at all. Very cute - I needed a good chuckle.
