I know Bess is getting new teeth but she also has some kind of yucky cold too. Carter is totally fine throughout the day but is a coughing machine at night. Just when I thought to myself that he had really been sleeping good lately he starts back up with nightmares/night tremors. What to do?
I am now convinced though that we have a duck that roams our house at night. A couple of months ago Glen "woke up" out of a dead sleep and flew down on the floor and started tearing our mattress apart. I asked him what he was doing and he said there was a duck between the mattress and box spring. I kept telling him that he was sleeping and to come back to bed, but he was almost convincing. Okay but come on, a duck between the mattress and boxspring, not likely. After about 10 minutes I don't quite know what happened but he came back to bed and that was that.
Well last night while I was up with Bess at 2:30, Carter woke up crying. I heard Glen go in there to take care of it and I could hear Carter saying there was a duck in his room. I don't quite know what was going on but he was pretty convinced of it for about 10 minutes too. Do ducks wonder anyone else's house late at night?
Each night I go to bed I hope that it will be a better night sleep. It hasn't happened yet. I guess I can keep hoping. I think I am going on about 3 hours of sleep a night, soar throat, and a short fuse.
I have a poem in Carter's room from his paper quilt that says "Baby makes.....days shorter, nights longer, home happier and love stronger. Isn't it so true.
I just wish I could crash at anytime like they do!

When we shared a room. Glen when on and on about Batman climbing on his walls while sleeping. Maybe Batman has a new sidekick?
Holy Quackers Batman!!!!
when = went
Holy proof read Batman!!!!!!
Steve, I believe it. If all he would worry about is batman climbing the walls now that would be great. We have some really interesting nights at our house.
His sleep walking name is Greg! I think it must run in the family. I have heard stories about Joel's sleep walking adventures. Do you do the same?

Ducks wandering the house at night? Interesting theory. Maybe THAT'S our problem. Just kidding. We're lucky enough to have good sleepers.
Isn't it amazing how it can be over 100 degrees (ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration for where you are) and the kids can still get COLDS?!?!? We've been dealing with that this last week, too.
Cute post and pictures. I LOVE watching my babies sleep.
By the way, that website says I look like the following:
Carrie Underwood
Rene Russo
Preity Zinta (who?)
Mary Tyler Moore
Rita Hayworth (yeah, right)
Cybill Shepherd
Whoever's running that thing is smokin' crack. But that was funny.
Sorry to hear that the kiddies are sick. That is no fun and when you run on that much sleep your body can't help but get sick. Yucky!
I hope that you ALL start feeling better soon.
I can't believe the stories about the ducks. How crazy that they both said it. Maybe they are watching a duck show right before bed. You should set up a duck trap.
Take Care!
I love to hear stories about Steve and his brothers...it' always makes me smile and laugh!
