I let Carter go in the backyard to play with Molly.

He went out front and then a few minutes later came in and had tears in his eyes and said but mommy the bird died. I felt so sad for him. He really was pretty sad about the bird. He went in and washed his hands and came out and told me that the bird had gone to heaven. What a smart kid. I guess we are teaching the kid something.
Later that evening he wanted to show the neighbors the bird. I warned them it was pretty disgusting but they wanted to see anyway. After looking at it the neighbor told me it wasn't that bad, all it was was a wing. I said oh no the head is there too and she said no it's not. I said where is the head. Carter looked at all of us and said the head went to heaven.
We went out to dinner that night and came home to find nothing left of the bird, Carter was pretty happy that the whole bird had gone to heaven. I am pretty sure that the cat next door was pretty happy that Carter had taken the feathers off for him and cut it into pieces for him to eat up nicely.

Well Kendi...i'm glad at this moment I have girls!!! He is very smart and very creative...maybe he'll be a CSI?!!
Hope all is well!
Holy Cow! A little bird has come and gone. Funny and precious little story. He is a smart kid.
Gotta love days when they want a new mommy.. sometimes the feelings are mutual! Love them!
Your kids are darling.
That's disgusting ... and hilarious! What a crack up. Sometimes our kids are the best thing to have around when we need a good laugh. I don't know how you were even able to take the picture. I would have freaked out! I agree with Jen; right now I'm glad I have girls. ;)
