Carter started football the beginning of August. What a HOT month to start a sport that requires a heavy helmet and pads!
His first real scrimmage was held on the blue turf. It was fun to be in the Boise State Stadium and the boys loved the feeling of playing on Bronco ground!
Carter puts in alot of time to football. It takes alot of dedication. He very rarely complains.....well okay he did complain more this year and it bummed us out. We are working through some kinks with the change, in the move, on football. I have a feeling we will get there though!
It's a very OLD school but has lots of history. The kids meet in different buildings. Carter is in the lower building with the other 5 graders and 4th grade.
We were lucky to no only have the school secretary give us a tour but Carter's good buddy Josh, he's got to be a professional by now, it's his 6th year there!
Bess meets on the upper part of the campus with K-3rd. The 2 campus's are divided by a canal, that adds for extra fun for the kids!
They have 7 kids! & pretty much one each of my kids age. HEAVEN SENT!
And it does help that Karen and Scott are pretty great too!
One afternoon we had torrential rains. The kids prepared well and went out to play in it. Maggie prefers older friends, Savannah (So Fanna, as she says it) (12) is her favorite and Maggie seems to think there is no age difference between the two of them. Oh boy!
A little cookie baking to finish off the day? How perfect!
About 3 days before school started the kids and I set off to find out who their teachers were going to be for the school year. Bess and Sara were saying their prayers and crossing their fingers they would be together......it WORKED!! There was much celebration going on for these two girls that day!
Bess is in Ms. Florence's class. It was fun to meet her and find out that she attended the same elementary as Bess and Carter did in Utah.
Carter and Josh must not have been crossing their fingers well enough as they didn't end up in the same class.....bummer! However, Carter has THE best 5th grade teacher so we are quite happy with Mrs. Bunn!
