Oh Montana!

After packing up our bags in Salt Lake we directly hit road for Montana.  We met Glen in Idaho Falls and started the long trek.  It was nice to have a caravan of us...made the trip seem a bit more bearable.  When we got sick of each other or kids needed some entertaining, we just swapped.  It worked out nicely!

We were also wise and broke the drive up in 2 days stopping in Butte.  Give the kids a hotel with a pool and and their cousins and they think they are in heaven!

Honestly, the kids did great!  Not much complaining or arguing at all!

First and only stop this trip.....Flathead Lake!  Love this place.  The water actually happened to even be a little warmer this year.

Days spent lounging, visiting, boat rides, and naps.....what more could you want?

Big sky country sunsets never seem to fail us!

Fishing is always a priority....well for Carter!

My mom and her sister Sheila.  It was very different not having Grandma Mary there.  We missed not seeing her on the deck observing and making sure the kids were all safe.  There was definitely a void without her.

Grandma's with their oldest Grands!

Carter and his second cousin Kaylor being pulled on the boat.  They were such a crack up to watch.  Carter was only wanting to go faster and Kaylor was praying the whole time that they wouldn't die.  It was quite comical.

Maggie and I even got a turn.  I think she would have gone faster if her mom wasn't on with her.  I am a wimp!

These sweet babies were a hit of course on their first trip to the lake!

We love our memories of Flathead Lake.  We are so lucky to have the time that we have spent there and hope that we can continue year after year!
