After all the wonderful going away parties and sad goodbyes were mostly said we decided it was time to really make this move real!
And it hit hard.....moving, like the actual packing and hauling, is not FUN! In fact I think we promised ourselves about every hour that we will never do it again!
Saying goodbye to family and friends is never easy. I think I gained 10-20lbs by all the last lunches with girlfriends I went to and all the going away dinners! I love my friends!
There is something to say about living close to family. I loved it and my kids were so lucky to have the wonderful relationships that they gained with their cousins being close by. I'll miss them dearly!
A goodbye Sunday dinner complete with a watermelon eating contest!
We got the Uhaul plus the extra trailer behind it all packed up on Saturday night. Glen hit the road on Sunday to head to Boise. It was a long trip for him in that slow beast!
The kids and I stayed behind to finishing cleaning the house and enjoy our first week of summer break with friends.
Bess and her sweet friend Adrie are like two peas in a pod. Bess might be mad at me for putting this out there but NEVER did she come home with dry pants after playing with Adrie. They are silly and can laugh like nothing I have ever seen before!
Snow cones & friends are a must in the summertime!
TEARS WERE SHED, and shed, as we pulled away our last day.
But the excitement awaited us with the thoughts of a new home to build in a new place. It's scary starting over but we have each other so that helps! House building drama to be continued.......
