This year I (mom) had the opportunity of taking the place as "dad" for Carter's scouting cake off. Since dad was gone during the week we managed to still pull it off.
We came up with a couple different ideas of what we would make, mostly sport ideas, and how we would make it. We found out right before we started baking that the we had to make the cake based off of scouting....well that makes it a little tougher!
But we were able to come up with an American Flag themed cupcake cake! It worked!
Here Carter is explaining what his cake has to do with scouting. His words, "Mom, what did you tell me to say again?"
Sadly I didn't take a picture of our flag cake before it got devoured. Oops!
