Our nephew Garrett (his sister left on her mission just a month before) flew in from VA to go to the MTC, and we were lucky enough to get a chance to pick him up from the airport and have lunch before we took him.
He is such a easy kid to be around. Always so cheerful and jolly. He just finished his first year of college at BYU-Hawaii. This kid knows how to live. And he is very intelligent. He's going to be just what the Helsinki, Finland people need!
We've been working on some projects in our house. We're always working on projects with this house! Actually we hired out this time.
The first week the kids were out of school was rough. Our house was a big huge construction mess! We had to live away from our house during the day and watch our steps to come out to sleep at night. It made for some long days for this mom. But I just had to keep reminding myself it will be SO wonderful when it's done. And NOW it is wonderful. I'll post pictures of the finished projects soon.
Just a sneak peak at my "new" bathroom. It's a dream!
Glen and Carter headed of to Father/Sons one evening so that left us girls with time and fun on our hands. We called up our neighbor/babysitter/friend and we all went to the mall. The girls love Jessica! Afterwards we stopped at Wendy's for a treat. I dare to say it was a successful evening.
Just a random funny picture of this crazy (almost) 2 year old. I think I'll keep her at this age forever.
Glen's work had a work night at the Bees Game. It's always fun to go sit in the box, eat some game food, and chase the kids around, right? Everything is better when your cousins come along! We love the Bee and he was quite the 10 second highlight of the whole night! Well, for some.........
My highlight each year is getting to sit in the box seats next to this guy. It's fun to watch the kids wave at him and see him wave back. Pretty cool to see that our Prophet is just a regular Ol' guy!

Wow, the prophet! that is so cool.
I love looking at phone picts.
Those are such cute one's. I can't WAIT to see your projects. I love before and after pictures. It makes all the work so worth it. I bet it is wonderful.
That was mean to not post pictures of the projects. Summer is turning out to be busy for you guys.
I couldn't help but think what the guys with the beers in their hands were thinking about while sitting next to a prophet. They probably didn't care but maybe they watch their language a little more than normal.
Paul
I used to go to the Salt Lake Bees baseball games a lot or listen to the games on the radio. I think Glen likes baseball too. We saw the Colorado Rockies from club seats on Wednesday night. They are at the bottom this year; multiple numbers of players have injuries. That was pretty special to see the prophet and get to wave to him. He's a great guy as well as a spiritual giant.
Love, Dad
