School Year Comes to a End

I feel like May is one of the busiest months of our lives.  WAY too much school and extra activities.  We were tired!
The kids love it though!
Here is some of the activities that made us crazy.

The kids school carnival.  They look forward to this all year.  All sorts of fun things like bounce houses, carnival games, cotton candy, auctions, and face painting.  The only pictures I actually was able to take were of this event because it's the longest they all sat still.

The kids piano recital.  This was Bess's first and she did awesome!  Carter played Home on the Range while Bess played Old Mac Donald had a Mouse.  We love our piano teacher!

Both kids also decided for the end of the year school talent show, at school, that they would play their pieces.  It quite shocked me to get a call from Carter at the school asking to bring his piano book so he could try out for the talent show.  I am glad they enjoy it (somewhat)!

The whole first grade put on a very cute program for the parents.  They had been practicing a lot of songs.  Bess still sings them for us all quite regularly.
She and Carter both had Miss Christensen as their first grade teacher.  She really is the best!

Bess brought home her journal from the year.  It's been so fun to read.  We've gotten some good entertainment out of it!  Love her!

School ended and the very last activity we had in our line up was Bess's dance recital.  This girl loves to be on stage so this is just perfect for her.
We enjoy watching her dance also, she's in her element when she's preforming.

Ditto to Susan's comment. I enjoy watching Bess dance and she performs without any hesitancy. I love the face painting and the willingness of these children to play piano and participate in their school programs. We have really enjoyed being close enough to you to spend some time together this year.

Much love to each of you.

She is a doll! It does get so crazy with all the "events" they have for everything. I can't believe it is almost July. What the heck. Before long we will be posting, back to school pictures.. Yikes!!

I LOVE Bess' page that she wrote in her journal. that is too funny.

Way to go both kiddos on their piano. I REALLY need to start mine learning the piano. I think that is so awesome and is such a great talent to have in life.

Thanks for all the wonderful photos! What a fun end-of-school, with recitals and concerts and face-painting and all the rest. It IS a hectic time, but Carter and Bess will remember these things forever. Congratulations, Bess and Carter! You're stars in many ways! Happy summering now!
Love you lots.
