be still my heart

I came upon this picture from over 2 years ago. Melts my heart. I realize she's growing & I really don't want her to.

On Friday Bess received a phone message asking her to play with a little boy from preschool. I told her, after I got the message, that Grant wanted to know if she could play. I told her it was too late today but we'll set up a different date that might work.
She quickly said, "Ah! mom, I don't want to go on a date with Grant. I only go on dates with daddy."
Holy smokes really???

She really knows the way to her daddy's heart!

Cute picture. Reminds me how fast they grow up. What's funny is that neither Carter nor Bess want to be married when they grow up and aren't interested in boy/girl relationships at all... at least for now. What a relief! Let's hope it lasts for many, many years.

So cute! Good she should only want her Daddy as her date for a long, long time :)

It is amazing how fast they do grow up. She's a cutie!

What a cute picture. She has indeed grown a lot, but it's wonderful that her Dad is still her favorite guy. Let's hope that lasts a long time! He sets a pretty high standard, so any other guy will have to be really special!

Love her - - -and all of you!

That is a great pose showing the "No, I will not do that, thank you very much" side of Bess! You captured it! That's a cute story about dating! It's good she understands about Daddy dates at this young age!

The best part of being daddy to your little girl is you are her main love. How nice that Bess has a gentle thoughtful dad. I still feel that way with a teenage daughter, especially when we share music and interest in the Beetles. Kendi. You have been able to capture some great poses that will be treasured forever.
