Last Saturday we headed out on a pumpkin hunt. We were very bummed that we forgot to plant them this year. However, we had a blast picking out our perfect pumpkins and playing in the hay maze!
Speaking of pumpkins. Check out our neighbors huge pumpkin they grew. He got the seed from the Pumpkin Growing Society and took great care of it in his garden. He was hoping it would end up weighing 500lbs. but I guess it's just a little over 400. We can't wait till they carve it!

What fun. Sometimes it's more fun to go hunting the "perfect pumpkin" in the pumpkin patch than to grow your own! Carter and Bess look like they're having a great time.
Can't believe how huge the neighbor's pumpkin is - - -and well-shaped for a huge one. Jim and I had 2 vines this year, and kept picking off blossoms so we'd get a FEW larger ones. Apparently, quite a number were hiding, because we still harvested 35! Anyone want a free pumpkin?
Love you all.

Glen, I was going to comment on your comment, but it disappeared!

This is my favorite time of year because of the varied colors, the crisp air, and the fun for children, especially jumping in the leaves. Those two adorables of yours are living happy lives with doting parents. How blest and fortunate are all of you. The pictures always make me smile.
Love you lots,
Dad/Papa
