Lemonade Stand 2009
Carter has been begging me to do a lemonade stand since April. I've been very lucky in years past to have the neighbor girl down the road, that is almost 10 years older than Carter, take the reigns and help man the stand. What Carter hasn't quite caught on to is, as he grows older, so does "his little friend." Lemonade stands just aren't cool anymore!
Lucky for Carter to have a cousin close by that is still okay with standing on the corner in the heat of the day, with a cute little sign, and thinks $.50 is some big money.
Carter headed out to my sister's house that day with the intentions of only needing a little over $3 more dollars for a hamster. For at least four hours straight he worked in the hot sun making him just the money he needed.
His money is safely tucked away until he figures out a way to convince his mom and kill off his rabbit!

Pretty industrious little kid. I'm impressed with how much money they came up with.

That's awesome! I would have definately bought some drinks if I had been there. So I gather you want a hamster, but you can't have one until the rabbit passes on, is that it? You guys are on the road to a marketing career!

So I see lemonade stands have converted themselves into Pop stands these days. Man, in my day lemonade stand still meant lemonade stand. Whats the world coming to? It looks like a fun time was had. Wish I could have been there to buy an A&dubya from them.
Super cute kids!!
Got to love their perseverance!
What a fun day - - -and way cute pictures. Is it just in every child's DNA to want to do a lemonade stand? It seems pretty universal - - -and a great option for picking up some cash when you're young. Congratulations on a successful business venture, Carter and cousins!

How could you pass up buying from those adorable kids!
Tay wants to do a lemonade stand everyday.
hope you are having a wonderful summer!
It looks like a little business establishment was started, like Daddy Glen. Summertime is full of childhood inventiveness; how fun!

Jane is forever asking to do a lemonade stand, too. We live on a busy street and I hate to admit it, but the thought of trying to sell anything gives me chills (I'm thinking of all those school fundraisers I had to do as a kid; uuughhh). I always feel bad for the poor suckers that stop in for a glass of lukewarm watered-down lemonade.
I love little kids and lemonade "pop" stands! Hannah did one in front of our house one time when she was a little girl and a garbage man stopped with his great big truck and then he called a bunch of his friends and we had garbage trucks lined up on our street buying her awesome lemonade!!
Keep up the great work!
Love,
Susan
