Happy Birtday, Kendi! Carter, Bess and I want you to know how much we love you and we hope you have a wonderful birthday. I'm kind of ticked because I just finished writing an entry and it got lost in some blog blackhole somewhere. Now, I have to try to remember all the beautiful, romantic things I said - which were really good by the way. :)
I consider myself very fortunate to have Kendi in my life. Kendi really is a great human being. She values her role as a mom and always puts her kids ahead of herself. That can be a sacrifice at times, but Kendi wouldn't have it any other way. We have great kids and I attribute most of that to Kendi. Mom runs the show and Carter and Bess know Mom loves them even if she doesn't let them do everything they want. When they get hurt or need someone to comfort them, Kendi is who they go to.
Kendi is a real, genuine person. She knows who she is and doesn't pretend to be someone she's not. As a result, most people are naturally drawn to Kendi because they know she will accept them for who they are and won't look down on them because they may look at life a little differently than she does. I'm amazed with how many friends Kendi has, and I'm sure that's the result of Kendi being such a good friend herself. Kendi is a great partner and my best friend.
Kendi, we hope that you have a great birthday and know how much we all love you!
