I have a voice. A nagging voice, that resides in my head. That voice would be my blog.
(not all true. there definitely are more voices that work my brain, but we'll just talk about this one)
Consistency has been a thought as of late. One thing that is obvious that I am not consistent on is this blog. It nags at me........"come on this is the only journaling you do for your children" "grandparents are expecting an update" "readers will not visit if not updated regularly" ya da ya da ya da, most of you know the drill and probably have the same thoughts.
As I was thinking about the lack of resent posts and mostly all I have to catch up on I started to think about some of the constants in my everyday/weekly life.
I'd like to share:
laundry. in fact probably 6+ loads a week. as soon as I feel caught up, it's back. there's more.
a promise. every Tuesday after Carter's piano lesson, I promise myself to make him practice at least 4 times the coming week. never fails Sunday hits and I realize he hasn't practiced once.
there will be tears. EVERYDAY! be it Bess putting on pants or tights, or getting her hair done. but there WILL be tears.
repeating. i've decided my kids (mostly Carter) need their ears cleaned out.
bed swapping. not quite sure how or when but I will wake up in a different bed then I went to sleep in.
yelling. (we won't talk about it) (it just happens)
playing referee. it's an ugly game.
name calling. shout out to all the mom's out there, just know I own the title for meanest mom in the world. wait I take that back, not just the world, the WHOLE WIDE world!
a thought. played over and over in my mind throughout the day, bed time cannot come soon enough!

I hear you, I do all of this but I do it to myself. Should I be worried? Don't wish it away because life is fleeting and before you know it you will miss all that shiz.
It's nice to know I'm not alone! This is very reassuring! Thanks for sharing!
You are right in the thick of it!!
You are a MOM!! Congrats!!!

All I can say is that you only wish you were as mean as me.

Yes, that's a good list, and a beautiful picture! I can relate very well, especially the laundry, the piano practicing, the crying...okay, everything! Good blog!

The Truth!
Spoken by a true mom...I'm sure we can all say the same thing!!
loved it, Kendi. you always make me feel semi-normal again.
We've all been there, Kendi. Bad days come and go, but are far out-weighed by the good days, so don't be too hard on yourself. You're a great Mom, with great kids and great husband. Life is sweet - - -What would you really, in your heart of hearts, change? :)
Love you.
Mom/Gram
