Bess had her one year check up yesterday. She is in the 35% for her weight and 70% for height. She also has an ear infection that we are fixing with some good medicine. This is her first, the doctor was quite impressed. I must say I really do like my pediatrician. She is a female in her mid 30's. She is so down to earth and easy to talk to about everyday issues with kids. I feel like she can really relate with being a mom or a women. I have even cried to her before and she totally was sensitive about it. The kids seem pretty at ease with her too.
What else? Hmmmm.......Carter is practicing writing his name. Now before he wants to go out and play we tell him he has to write his name first. It seems like a huge accomplishment to him and us. We are very proud of him. It's funny because I bought him a box of NEW crayons the other day at the store and he colored with them for about 10 minutes and then played swords with them the rest of the time. He just really has no interest in crafty things. (even though coloring isn't necessarily crafty). It's just so weird to listen to all of my friends and family with girls and hear them talk about how their daughters love coloring, cutting, pasting, drawing, playing with playdough and just being entertained with that stuff and my child has no interest in it. At first I was worried but I think it is just normal for a boy. Preschool with definitely be good for him though.
We are going to have a crazy weekend coming up. My little sister, Megan, is coming back until Dec. to stay between our house and my sisters in South Jordan. She is on the winter summer block at school. It is SO nice to have her around. I feel like I have a full time nanny and best friend. My sister Brenda and I fight over her a bit.
Also my brother Ryan and his girlfriend are coming to stay the weekend. We are excited to have them come and stay with us. We have lots of fun things planned. ALSO these are our last few days with Molly. Grandpa is coming to get her this weekend. It honestly is going to be good to not worry about having a pet but I think Carter will miss her quite a bit.
Our nights go by so quickly. Glen comes home from work, we eat dinner, clean up, play a bit and then I head out running. By the time I am home the kids go to bed and it's back to the same thing the next day. On Tues. and Weds. Glen and I don't even see each other with church meetings, so when the weekends roll around we just spend a lot of time just hanging out. I think we might try to get away somewhere while my little sister is here to watch the kids. We'll see, life just kind of gets away on ya.

Well this is life for us right now. Like I said BORING!!! Now I need to go think of some exciting stuff to share or go create some exciting things to share. Have a good week ya'll!

Yeah for Lora!!! I can't believe this is the second time they've done invitro. I hope their insurance has paid for it - it costs a ton!
Life seems to get away from us, too. Sometimes you feel like you're living the same day, over and over, with the routines we get into. We should all take after you and find our own motivation for doing fun, new things to make life exciting.
After all, it won't be long before the kids are in school, and our free time with them gets cut REALLY short. We need to take advantage of it now!
I love what your friend said.. When the kids are in school it won't ever be the same again so we have to take advantage of it now. I don't think your blog is boring at all. It's a journal for us anyway.. so if someone thinks it's boring- TOO BAD!!
How fun to have your sister live with you. That would be nice. I loved living with Jen and Steve for a while.
Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! Have a good rest of the week.
