My sister and I watched the same movies over and over and over; to this day, we could probably act out with accurate attention to lines and dramatic presentation each of the films pictured below. By the time you reach adulthood, you are able to draw clear lines between make-believe and reality, but there are years where those lines are blurred and the characters you watch over and over again ALMOST become real. To this day, I can't see any of these films being played on cable and NOT stop and watch them (even though I own the vast majority of them) - they are that special to me.
Sound of Music

Grease

Never Ending Story

Parent Trap

Summer Magic

Annie

Little House on the Prairie Series

I'd love to hear about those that you all watched too. It's kind of fun to take yourself back to the good ol' days of your care-free lifestyle of being a child!

Ah, sweet memories of lame movies. Actually, yours are still pretty good, although I don't recognize "Summer Magic." Anything with Haley Mills was a hit back when we were kids.
One of my favorites (among some already listed) Xanadu. Oh, yes, the one starring Olivia Newton John. And I, like you, didn't have a good grasp on reality and believed that when I "grew up" I would be a roller skater. That's right, for a carreer choice.
In case you've never seen the movie, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I've watched it again in my adulthood and have come to realize I was one strange kid!
How fun to think of the goldie oldies! Those were the classic movies back in our young lives!
Good memories!
