Happy Independence Day From Us

We hope you are all having a good 4th of July! We feel so lucky to live in this country and to have the freedoms we have.

We have had a low key day. It's nice to have Glen home on a Tuesday. The kids really like it when he is home. Tuesday is trash day here and we forgot to get our trash out so we rushed out there at 8:30 this morning. We had a bunch of tree limbs that Glen had cut down that needed to go in the trash before the garbage men got here. Carter, Bess and I were all helping him. Glen decided to go to the garage and get a rake and Carter asked where Glen and gone and I told him and he said "I miss my dad." Oh please! He does love his daddy.

We drove over to Sugarhouse park(or like Carter would say it Sugarpark House) around 12 and saw all the crazy people that camp out in the heat waiting for the big firework show. Carter and Glen dipped their feet in the water.
Then we headed to the store to get some stuff for a little BBQ. While we were there we found a cool slip n' slide to buy.

We came home and laid down for naps and woke up to some thunderstorms and showers. I guess no slip n' slide today.

Carter and Bess were so excited to have dinner outside. I was glad that I didn't have to sit on the end of the table where Carter dissected the bird!

I think we will walk over to a little park not far from our house this evening and watch the fireworks from Sugarhouse park. We bought a few of our own as well so I will have to include the pictures of that tomorrow. I am excited/nervous to see how Bess handles the fireworks.

Love you all and a big pat on the back to my friend Kim for starting her own blog!
