Being Safe

I don't know how many of you have heard about this Destiny Norton abduction that has been going on here the last couple of weeks but, it has really made me think. I have decided it is time to really become aware of my surroundings. I just heard on the news tonight that the "sick jerk" had been planning the abduction for some time.
If some of you don't know the story, here is the latest on it. It seriously makes me so disgusted. I guess you can never really watch your kids enough.
I found this website. Enter your address and find out how safe your neighborhood is. Kind of interesting.
I know when we first moved here I checked out the website. It was kind of scary because there was a guy on there on that I had seen at church before. He still goes to church with us but everyone is just very aware of him and he can't be around children at all. How sad is that?

Wow.. that was completely disturbing. It is always better to be safe to the point of being over the top than it is to be sorry.

The Destiny Norton case was so sad. What a heart wrencher!

Thanks for the info!

That was heart breaking, we hadn't heard about it here. It makes you sick how easy it is for people to snatch your children.
Thanks for the info though, I looked up our neighborhood

I can't even imagine what that family must be going through. It's so scary to think it can happen to anyone, anywhere. Even in your own yard.

I checked out my neighborhood and was glad to see some info on there. I've been to a couple other websites for sexual offenders in your area, and for some reason they haven't had information in Nevada. Don't know why, but I'm glad to at least be aware of what's around me.

Hope you guys are having a fun summer. I'll post again when I get back from vacation.
