Disneyland

Here are some pictures from Disneyland. I don't know how to comment and write next to each picture so I will just tell you a bit about our trip and then leave you with some pictures. We got to California really early on Wednesday morning and got our rental car and drove to our hotel across the street from Disneyland. We had some lunch and walked across the street to Disneyland. We did some fun rides that day and Carter had a blast just watching all the millions of people there. It was good to have our hotel right across the street so that we could go do naps and then go back. On Thursday we went to California adventure for the day and then Disneyland at night. I thought the electric parade was SO awesome, honestly I think I even shed a few tears.
On Friday we went down to Laguna Beach (for Megan) and played in the water and sand. I thought Carter had died and gone to heaven. He loved it SO much. He just ran up and down the beach and played with all the crabs, slugs, and shells in the tide pool. He thought it was the coolest thing. He also liked to chase the seagulls away.

Bess wasn't too thrilled to be there though. I think the noises of the beach made her sleepy. We have a sound machine that we put on for her when we lay her down and it's on the ocean setting so the noise was lulling her to sleep. We stayed there until about 3 and then went and got some lunch and walked around Newport Beach. We got back to our hotel around 7 and did some swimming and laundry and went to bed early.

Saturday was our day for Sea World. We woke up and early and headed out. On our way out of the hotel though we ran into 2 people that we knew in the elevator. Susan's good friend Cindy hopped on the elevator the same time we did and then at the next stop Glen's old choir teacher got on and noticed him and gave him a big hug. She said to say Hi to all the Moore boys that gave her a hard time in choir. I guess the Capital Eagles were at Disneyland singing that day.
We had a good time at Sea World. I wasn't too impressed with our lunch with Shamu. Not worth it. Carter loved petting the dolphins and seeing all the creatures to be had at Sea World. We got back to our hotel around 9:30 that night and hit the bed hard. We were tired.
On Sunday we got up and headed back to California Adventure and Disneyland for one last time. Carter did splash mountain and the haunted mansion. We wanted to do the Monsters Inc. ride at California Adventure. That line is so long. We got there right at 10 when they open and still had to wait in line for 90 mins. It was very cute though. It was so crowded that day. I guess on Saturday and Sunday they sold out of tickets at both places. CRAZY MADNESS!!! We decided not to hang around there long. We had some lunch and met up with our friends Lora and Craig and headed to the beach for awhile before we hit the airport. It was a cold day that the beach that day but it didn't stop the kids from jumping right into the water. Carter loved being with Lizzie and Grace.
It was also funny because while we were at Disneyland on Thursday I ran into my cousin Ron, his wife, and kids. It was so crazy that of all the places that is where we would see them.
It was a good time. Bess's favorite thing was Playhouse Disney live on stage. She loves bear in the big blue house. She just sat there contently watching the whole thing.
All and all we had fun. I am dreaming of my next trip......but in the dream I see something more tropical and quite.
Hope you enjoy our pictures.
